The Added Value of the Tertiary Industry of Rong’an Is Estimated to Increase 10.4%

Since this year, the government of Rong’an deliberately guided the development of emerging service industries including e-commerce, Internet finance and network information services. The government made good use of the special festivals and activities such as the Kumquat Festival and the Dragon Boat Festival to promote the development of the county’s convention and exhibition industry and steady progress of tertiary industry of the county. It is estimated that the added value of the tertiary industry of the county will reach 2.19 billion yuan, an increase of 10.4% YOY.

The government of Rong’an has established a public service centre for e-commerce, helped improve the Shimen Xianhu 4A National Tourist Attraction, and provided training and a series of target services for 6 enterprises, including Huijia Discount Market, Jianshang Furniture, and Yongxing Driving School. Thus, the transformation and upgrading of the tertiary industry have been accelerated.

So far, a cultural and sports center, a wholesale market and the Rong’an Square have been built; and a landmark building of downtown — the four-star hotel (Ronghe Sky City) that encompasses shopping malls, entertainment, services of catering, and leisure center, has been under construction. A new commercial center of Rong’an is being formed.

Besides, the first phase of Guibei business logistics center with investment of 250 million yuan has been under construction; The Cooperation Framework Agreement of Rong’an Guibei Agro-products Wholesale Market viz. E-commerce Logistics City, whose planned investment amount reached 1.2 billion yuan, has been signed.

Work on the Guibei Timber Trading Market (trading base for bamboo and timber) and medical and care base (relocation of the county’s Maternal and Child Health Center) progressed steadily. The shape of Guibei Modern Service Center is emerging and the new secondary municipal commercial center is forming.

According to the statistics, the added value of the tertiary industry of the county accounted for 36.55% of its GDP, contributed 38.1% to its GDP and drove its GDP to increase 3.69 percentage points.
