The 5th China-ASEAN Auto Expo ends successfully

The 5th China-ASEAN (Liuzhou) Automobiles, Construction Equipment, Components and Parts Expo (China-ASEAN Auto Expo) was successfully held in Liuzhou International Convention and Exhibition Centre a few days ago. The expo centers on “Auto show, Win-win cooperation” and is for the exhibition of first stage of passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and construction equipment. It covers an exhibition area of 30,000 square meters and has 63 domestic exhibitors. Nearly 100,000 people attended the expo in 5 days and the total trading volume was up to 295 million yuan.

Over 60 brands of cars were exhibited at the expo. In particular, original exhibits of 18 brands including DS, Nissan, Chevrolet, Hyundai, Honda, Peugeot, FAW Mazda, Dongfeng Fengxing (excluding ultra-luxury brands) were provided by original equipment manufacturers and the net exhibition area for such kinds of brands was over 4,000 square meters. The special area for Liuzhou passenger cars was for local brands of cars, such as Dongfeng Fengxing of Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor Co., Ltd, and Pochun of Liuzhou SAIC-GM Wuling Automobile Co., Ltd.

It is understood that delegations of Liuzhou’s sister cities in ASEAN countries like Rayong (Thailand), Bandung (Indonesia), Vinh An (Vietnam) and Muntinlupa (Philippines) also participated in the expo. Xiao wensun, mayor of Liuzhou met with U Aung Maung, mayor and secretary of the Development Affairs Bureau of Mandalay, Burma and his team during the expo. The two mayors signed a Letter of Intent to Build Sister City Relationships, marking the officially establishment of friendly exchanges. In that afternoon, representatives of Liuzhou government agencies and enterprises had a face-to-face talk with delegations from the sister cities on the further cooperation in all aspects and areas, especially the business cooperation and exchange.
