Baili Liujiang River and Chengyang Eight Stockade Village Are Expected to List in the National 5A-Level Scenic Area
Recently, a national 5A-level scenic area tourism resource review meeting for Liuzhou Baili Liujiang River and Chengyang Eight Stockade Village organized by Guangxi Tourism Development Committee was held in Nanning. The two scenic areas passed the appraisal of Guangxi and are expected to pass the national review and list in the national 5A-level scenic area.
At the review meeting, participating leaders and experts conducted scientific appraisal to the two scenic areas and put forward specific and constructive suggestions for the improvement of the plan. It’s known that plans of the two scenic areas will be sent to China National Tourism Administration recently.
At the end of last year, Liuzhou integrated the superior resources so as to make improvement for the tourism service and supporting facilities after Baili Liujiang Scenic Area passed the final-time review meeting of its 5A-level scenic spot promotion plan, which makes full preparation for the application of national 5A scenic area. As a gathering place of Dong minority, Chengyang Eight Stockade is also a key point of Liuzhou’s initiative to create national 5A-level scenic area.
Jiao Yaoguang, a member of Standing Committee of Municipal CPC Committee, director of Municipal Propaganda Department and vice mayor of Liuzhou City said that the application for 5A-level scenic area is not a mere matter of a scenic area, but also an important measure for Liuzhou to create a well-known tourism city from an industrial one. The creation of 5A-level scenic area is very essential to Liuzhou’s transformation and will give great impetus to enrich Guilin-Liuzhou Tourism Circle at the same time.
