Date:2019-10-23 Source:Xinhua
Chinese telecommunications equipment maker ZTE showcased 5G network development at the company's Global Wireless User Congress and 5G Summit here on Tuesday.

At the event, ZTE and its strategic partner, Austria-based telecom operator Hutchison Drei, jointly presented the operation of end-to-end network slicing, one of the first such operations in telecom industry. By this means of customized slicing, an operator could run multiple networks that suffice for varying traffic demands on a single infrastructure, which helps cut the cost, according to ZTE.

Also present at the event were were Other major telecom operators such as Italy's Wind Tre, Orange Spain and China Telecom, which introduced their 5G strategies and equipment, including a smart bionic mechanical dog equipped with 5G Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) for data connection illustrating potential application scenarios such as rescuing, security patrol and home guard.

ZTE Senior Vice President Xiao Ming said that the event enabled telecom operators to tap into the potential of the existing network, push forward 5G industrialization, explore new services and business models, and create new value systems for the industry.
