Goal: to step into top 50 industrial cities in the country and top five industrial cities in  Western China, with famous enterprises and entrepreneur, deep industrial history and influence.

                
A meeting was held to encourage Second Carve Out in town hall yesterday morning. Secretary of Liuzhou CCP Chen Gang asked officials in the city to act actively immediately, to make another wave of industrial city construction.

Chen Gang said the city had shown great interest in second carve out. During the first seven months this year, the total industrial output has increased by 34.8% to 85.533 billion Yuan (RMB), ranked first place in the province. This has shown rapid economic growth was achievable as long as correct direction. In the mean time, we are facing great challenge as the increase speed was the 11^th in the province.  

Chen Gang emphasized the importance of industrial construction and we could never lose the top 1 industrial city honor. To encourage the whole city’s determination for second carve out, the government shall move immediately to promote this work and economic upgrading. Second Carve Out is also an effective pathway to enterprise stability for Liuzhou. Our goal is to step into top 50 industrial cities in the country and top 5 in Western China during the 11^th 5-year-period, with famous enterprises and entrepreneur, as well as a history of industrial environment and influence. Thus, a more rapid increase and a higher expectation are needed. Practices shall also be focused. We shall promote our ideology of open-minded, braveness, innovative and strong. 

Mayor Zheng Junkang made plans for the Second Carve Out program. He pointed that the first carve out had made a strong base for the next one and provide experiences. Liuzhou has qualifications to be famous industrial city at the moment. We shall focus on specialty as well as ecology. Environment protection shall be focused while industrial development. And industrialization shall go with urbanization. Matching policies and service systems are strong guarantees for the second carve out. From now on, the mayor and vice mayors will be in contact with enterprises every month to solve problems for them.

Officials attended the meeting were Hu Jingchao, Zhou Zhuoxin, Gan Lin, Na Xiang, Cao Jingbiao, Luo Ming and Zhang Qiaoling. The meeting was chaired by Xu Feng.
