In order to make better plans for future works, the provincial NPC (National People¡¯s Congress) annual meeting was held in the city in the afternoon of 27th. Director of Guangxi NPC standing committee Guo Shengkun and Chairman of Guangxi Autonomous Region Ma Biao gave speeches on the meeting.
The meeting was chaired by vice-secretary of Guangxi CCP committee Chen Jiwa.
Government officials attended the meeting included Ma Tieshan, Liu Xiaokun, Peng Zuyi, Li Jingzao, Shen Beihai, Che Rongfu, Wen Kahua, Shi Shenglong, Huang Daowei, Chen Xiangqun, Wu Heng, Liu Xinwen, Shao Bowen, Mo Yongqin, Qin Ruixiang, Luo Liming, Chen Zhangliang, Chen Wu, Lin Nianxiu, Gao Xiong, Li Kang, Lin Guoqiang, Jiang Jida, Li Daqiu, Jiang Peilan, Liang Chunlu, Huang Gesheng, Huang Ribo, Peng Zhao, Li Bing, justice-in-general of Guangxi district court Luo Dianlong and Director of Guangxi Public Prosecution Department Luo Jianping.
Guo Shengkun said the exercise of NPC system is a vital guarantee for the province¡¯s further development. Government departments shall work under the system and make progression in political, economic and social works. Government officials shall work as role models to the public.
Ma Biao pointed that Guo¡¯s speech was a full explanation of the NPC system in modern time, which had tremendous meanings in future planning. He raised several suggestions on government works. He emphasized the importance of NPC supervision and legislation. Government staff shall learn more about laws from work; proposals from public representatives shall be treated seriously and equally; all works shall be done in a regulated system; besides, administrative appeals shall be supervised strictly.
During the meeting, government leaders from Nanning, Liuzhou and Guigang gave speeches respectively.
