From 9^th to 10^th of July, secretary of Liuzhou CCP Chen Gang had joined the visiting team of the province to Sichuan earthquake area, to express concerns and cares to the people. The team went to Mianyang city and its counties to visit the people and saw the quake scene.

On behalf of the 3.6 million people of Liuzhou, Chen Gang sent best wishes to secretary of Sichuan CCP Liu Qibao and secretary of Mianyang CCP Tan Li. He also expressed his strong confidence of building new places under the direction of the government.

Chen Gang also sent contributions from Liuzhou. He said: since the earthquake stroke, Liuzhou people have been concerning about Sichuan people. The government and people of Liuzhou will stand by Sichuan’s side to get through the disaster, and provide as much help as we can.

During his visit in Sichuan, Chen Gang also visited SWAT policemen from Liuzhou. He required excellent performances from the team.

The earthquake has been a highly concern to Liuzhou people. Helps and aids were made immediately from different walks of life, such as money donated by the government and the public, emergency teams and goods, and treatments to quake patients from Sichuan. Contributions made by the city have reached 70 million Yuan (RMB) so far, which shows a great relation between f3.6 million Liuzhou people and Sichuan people.
