Witness by government officials Chen Gang and Xu Feng, 36 modified ambulances have been given to Sichuan earthquake areas from Liuzhou Wuling automobile group yesterday morning (7th), to assist local emergency works.
Secretary of Liuzhou CCP Chen Gang said during the ceremony: since the earthquake stroke, Liuzhou people have been concerned about the issue and contributing to earthquake-affected people. Injured people have been sent to Liuzhou to receive treatments and machineries have been given to the areas. So far, donation made by Liuzhou has reached 70 million Yuan (RMB). The 36 ambulances given are another major contribution to Sichuan, which will definitely become a major help in improving health care ability in Sichuan.
These ambulances are going to assign into 17 villages in Heishui County and over 10 other counties through Guangxi Red Cross. The fleet will be guided by 8 staff from Wuling to make sure the arrival in the evening of 10th. According to staff from Guangxi Red Cross, the contribution made by Guangxi people has exceeded 460 million Yuan. And there are still much work need to be done in Sichuan to help local people.
