Yesterday morning, Secretary of Liuzhou CCP Chen Gang and other government officials went to the planting spot on Liushi Road, to plant trees with over 2000 people. It was sunny yesterday. Over 2700 trees were planted in the city’s earth by these people.

“We are going to makeover Liushi Road to a sample green road, and to make it a beautiful south gate of Liuzhou.” Chen Gang said during the planting. He urged gardening departments to make sure this policy would be applied and promoted the Million People Million Trees campaign to make a better city.

He emphasized the three coordinations for the city’s social and economic developments, among which there is the coordination of economic and living-friendly city improvements. Ecological attention must be paid while developing economics. Planting trees for the city is a project that is beneficial to the next generation. He called for more people taking part in the campaign.

Chen Gang also introduced the three planting campaigns the government had made since this year. However, they were not very successful. More efforts must be put into these projects, especially in this Spring when trees grow better. The goal of tree planting must be achieved.
