“Liuzhou is undoubtedly the industrial base of Guangxi. We can learn about its successful experiences of urban industry improving suburban ones and accelerating the development. Liuzhou is going to make much more contribution to the province.” A National People’s Congress (NPC) representative said after his team’s 1-and-a-half-day visit Liuzhou.
With 15 members, the team was led by vice director of Guagnxi NPC standing committee, and five of them are from Liuzhou. Secretary of Liuzhou CCP Chen Gang also joined the visit.
In the afternoon of August 4th, the team heard the mayor’s report on industrialization and urbanization in the city. Government officials attended the speech were vice directors of Liuzhou NPC standing committee Mr. Zhou Zhuoxin and Ms Cai Xiaoqi, member of government standing committee Mr. Na Xiang.
Accompanied by Zhou and Cai, the team went to Liuzhou Iron & Steel Group’s workshops and other industrial manufacturers on August 5th. Members of the team highly praised the enterprises’ achievements in manufacturing and management. They were interested in Liuhe Fangsheng Company, mainly manufacturing accessories for Shanghai General Motor and Dongfeng Liuzhou Automobile. Some of its products have leading technologies in the country.
In the afternoon, the team went to Luorong County to hear the government report. It acknowledged the government’s work on encouraging farmers transform into urban citizens and receive industrial radioactive influence, as well as its innovative household management.
